The Convoluted Fun

The sky was a dull blue color when I woke up on the morning of the 23rd of February. The thoughts of finally getting a 3 day break made me giggle as I woke up. My to-do list comprised of just dozing off  for a 72 hour period doing absolutely nothing. The Perfect Weekend.

Of Course, as in every story, that was just a distant and a good dream. The weekend was going to be one like I had never witnessed before and all these changes happened with a single Phone call.....

1 Month Earlier:

I didn't think much of the poster that the seniors were sticking at that time. It was named something like "Convolution". I thought that was strange. The word literally meant something that was difficult and twisted. The word Convoluted was always used in a negative sense and there I was thinking "Why would anyone want to name an event in a way that would scare people away?". After that, I did not think about it much and made an inward promise not to be a part of it ever.

Don't Remember much, therefore Back To The Present Day:

It was the call of that high pitched, annoying and a gigantic pain in the ass.(Throwback: 'A' from Normal Teenage Stuff. He dared me to use some creative insults).  He crushed my Serene and benevolent thoughts just to inform about the Strength of Materials class which had just ended. I tried to be calm. I really did! Just as I was about to give him a " very critical lecture on the concept of people willingly not going to classes", two or three of the relatively good people of the class called me to college so that we could enjoy a fest and have fun.

It would have been easy to say no! I was thinking of uttering it but then I thought of the lost souls in college who wouldn't do anything without me and needed my constant guidance and leadership. Just then , the idiot called me something Obscene and told me to come to college and that was that.

At 1 in the afternoon, I reached Jadavpur filled with criticism about the departmental fest and asked about the whereabouts of the assholes and then they surprised me with the fact that they had registered my name for an event and I was to take some files from the department. I saw the reception desk and Damn!! There were Seniors! The same ones from the Freshers' Day. The ones who, I may add, were hugely impressed by my performances. I quietly registered amongst their jokes about that day and got the hell out of there as soon as I could!

My people were waiting for me at a canteen and when I asked which one, it was conveniently located at the farthest end of the university. It was Weightist: Making a fat guy walk that much. After a million years, I finally reached the canteen but being the poor miser, I did't order anything. I'm cool that way.

Since they called me too soon and our event was at 5:45 in the evening, we decided to wisely utilize our time in talking about all the useless things in the World and then some more. We were to bring our laptops for the event and this good thing led to a few hours of FIFA 18, GTA 5 and CS:GO matches in our classroom. Suffice to say that I won in all  the FIFA matches that I played.

However, these games were when we had come back to the classroom. After the intellectual talks in the canteen, we went to the famous Green Zone. This place boasts of the cheapest drugs in Kolkata. Thankfully, for me, and to the utter dismay of some  of them, there were no chefs in the park then. The only white things in the park were the excrement of the birds who were making it their own personal game to BLESS as many people as they could. We were also scared by one of our teachers when she called us to attend her class. There was  no hope. Was there anyone who could save us? We didn't think so. But then..... a miracle happened. A senior pulled out the Hidden weapon , the nuclear bomb, the Mjolnir....and it was called....THE H.O.D.  After a full on wrestling match between the two of them and an eternity later, we were granted leave!! All hail the H.O.D.

After all these events, we finally got to do what we came here to actually do! Decisia was the name and logical reasoning was the game. We played the game well and were somewhat happy with our answers. The seniors did a good job making this challenge and we appreciated it.

That was the end of a Convoluted Day and there was more to come the next day!

So, stay tuned for more Convoluted Fun. Thank you Ladies and Gentlemen so much ,for reading and as always I will see you in the next post. Buh-Bye!!

Alright people, I'm not gonna lie when I say that I was trying something new when I wrote the last one. It's apparently called the pseudo-truth method of writing. This happens when the narrator describes something from the first person point of view which may or may not be the truth. It certainly consists of things which are actually present in the real world in the vicinity of the narrator. In my case, I took the route from my college to my grandparents' house and escalated into this story. Well, can you blame me? I get bored in that God-Awful 2 hour journey and think of these things. I'm weird that way. Anyways, it's my bad that I didn't give you all a heads up and some people were genuinely concerned about my sanity. It feels good to be loved though. Link:  Click me This type of narration intrigues me and I'm gonna continue writing two or more stories like this. I should also say that I got this idea from reddit and you guys should definitely chec...

I was rage-baited

Time to get my creative juices floating again. I have been doing the video and audio format for so long now that it seems like the written format is not getting the love it deserves. It makes sense though since the written format takes the most time to create with how organized I have to make my thoughts. I can ramble on in the other ones but not this one. I know, first world problems in a third world country. I was talking to a friend in Jamshedpur ( Percy ) a few days ago about the deets in the big man city and got to know about an interesting development. There was a get together of some of my friends last week due to the 30th wedding anniversary of Mr. Hunter 's parents and from the photos, it seemed like a grand old money level party but I digress. In the party, Percy wanted to have some fun at my expense the reason of which I still do not know. I swear I have never made fun of him and bhabi ji ever with the mama y papa jokes in front of others but I believe it's time to ...

Thought Exercise - Part 1

If I had only known what was about to happen, I would probably have preferred to stay at home today... or maybe not. After Nolan's last movie "Oppenheimer", I thought that the first day first show would have to be a necessary watch and booked a ticket at AMB cinemas. I woke up early in the morning (earlier than I would have intended) and in my excitement, went 1 hour before I actually had to, to watch the movie. Probably should have stayed home a little bit longer and who knows? The awkward situation might not have arrived. I reached the theater 1 hour early and decided to roam the mall by myself. I tell myself that I went alone because no one is a bigger Nolan fan than I am but in reality, everyone was busy in their own life. Being the only bachelor in the friend group gives me a lot of time to explore alone because other people are busy being boring. I went to the food court to get myself a chicken roll and that's when I saw her. I had not seen that face in a long t...
