I was rage-baited

Time to get my creative juices floating again. I have been doing the video and audio format for so long now that it seems like the written format is not getting the love it deserves. It makes sense though since the written format takes the most time to create with how organized I have to make my thoughts. I can ramble on in the other ones but not this one. I know, first world problems in a third world country. I was talking to a friend in Jamshedpur ( Percy ) a few days ago about the deets in the big man city and got to know about an interesting development. There was a get together of some of my friends last week due to the 30th wedding anniversary of Mr. Hunter 's parents and from the photos, it seemed like a grand old money level party but I digress. In the party, Percy wanted to have some fun at my expense the reason of which I still do not know. I swear I have never made fun of him and bhabi ji ever with the mama y papa jokes in front of others but I believe it's time to ...

Thought Exercise - Part 1

If I had only known what was about to happen, I would probably have preferred to stay at home today... or maybe not. After Nolan's last movie "Oppenheimer", I thought that the first day first show would have to be a necessary watch and booked a ticket at AMB cinemas. I woke up early in the morning (earlier than I would have intended) and in my excitement, went 1 hour before I actually had to, to watch the movie. Probably should have stayed home a little bit longer and who knows? The awkward situation might not have arrived. I reached the theater 1 hour early and decided to roam the mall by myself. I tell myself that I went alone because no one is a bigger Nolan fan than I am but in reality, everyone was busy in their own life. Being the only bachelor in the friend group gives me a lot of time to explore alone because other people are busy being boring. I went to the food court to get myself a chicken roll and that's when I saw her. I had not seen that face in a long t...

Travis Bickle - Future of society

I firmly believe that Taxi driver is much more relevant to the world today than it is given credit for. Travis Bickle, a 26 year old ex-marine with undiagnosed mental issues, is a slightly exaggerated version of the average male of the 21st Century post the internet boom. Don't believe me? Let me give you an example of a random guy who is 26 years old today called Percy.  Percy can't sleep at night because he gives his entire morning to a  corporate overlord and wants some semblance of control in his life at night so he is awake doing whatever he wants at night. Percy didn't talk to people much while growing up since he was "shy" and after he got his first phone with 4G internet in 2015, he did not need to talk to people because he could get all his entertainment/social needs on the tip of his hands 24/7. Sometimes, Percy longs for a human connection and tries to go talk to the pretty girl he saw in college/work but 9 times out of 10, he back out of the idea beca...

Mandarmani - The Prelude

Time to stop beating around the bush. The entire reason for writing about PF party was to get to the Mandarmani episode so let's just get to it without any further ado.  FYI, if you do not know about PF party, there is an incomplete series of blogs here -  https://pfpartyshenanigans.blogspot.com/2022/11/2022-origin-of-scene-bol-part-1.html  and I promise to write more about them as time goes on. Once upon a time, the time being somewhere near May/June 2022, the core members of PF party decided that this was the perfect time for a group trip. The place and the people were undecided but there was a general excitement in the air and the recruitment of members began one by one. The members who went to Rishikesh were more or less kinda in and one of the only external push-backs were coming from crackhead 1.  The problem is this guy is probably the heart-throb of this group (can even be called the Messi-ah) and everyone was foreseeing a significant reduction in headc...

Reflection

Hey guys! Happy New Year 2022. Perfect time to write a new post, so here's one. You're welcome. 2021 was a very unique year in my life. There were some life-altering events and in hindsight it was pretty crazy. Let me just go through the events from Jan to Dec to make sense of what happened, for myself as well as for you.  The year 2021 started in Kolkata for me and I still remember I slept at 9:30pm on 31 Dec 2020, lol. I had a cool time in Kolkata playing football and badminton with friends. College classes were going on in online mode (including lab classes which I remember I attended as I was driving from Kolkata to Jamshedpur). I think our Grand Viva for the 4th year was in January as well. I distinctly remember that I could not answer any of the questions asked by any of the panel members. I was given the advice to start from the basics of 1st year if I ever wanted a career in Electrical Engineering and yup, I agree. I have the same amount of electrical engineering know...

My Friends lead Amazing Lives part 1

Today, I was talking to a friend of mine who shall, of course, not be named. He was recounting some stories ranging from school to college and some of them literally blew my mind away. Now, I'm not doing this in a video format because this comprises of some NSFW stuff but that's when my handy dandy blog comes into play. This interaction helped me remember some accounts from another friend of mine and that's when I realized that my friends lead amazing lives. I'll start with the stories of today because they're fresh in my mind and continue from there. This blog can be of a certain length so buckle up for some amazing stories. Accounts from Friend 1: Now, to give some context, this guy is chill af and nothing fazes him which makes these accounts even more interesting. There are different stories here and I'll label them accordingly. Story 1: The Psycho One fine day, after our class 12 boards had ended, our protagonist got a text from a random girl from school. No...

Blast from the Past

Now that my college life is coming to an end, I would like to revisit February of 2017, the last few months before my boards, JEE and and the rest of the life. So why am I talking about 2017 now? It's because I saw an old ass looking diary among my JEE books and I couldn't believe that I kept a diary for like 3 days before I became bored of it and stopped writing. It's not much but it was entertaining and I thought that now I have some free time and I should probably share it here, my writing space. I will filter some dark thoughts but for the most part, it will be raw. Sorry for the grammar in advance, English is not my first language. Note- Present day Ashutosh thoughts will be in italics. 1-FEB-2017--- The storms were all over the country. It was coming. Lakhs of students like me were waiting for it. A lone boy was standing in the midst of a barren land. Determined to win this, he took out all his big guns and his ammunition would be the stuff which would make his caree...
