Okay, I need to collect my thoughts. I don't know what is happening to me right now. I'm scared and I need help. If this gets uploaded, hopefully, please send help. I'm begging you, PLEASE HELP!
Alright, think Ashu, think! Recount what happened from the beginning and it might help you figure out what happened to you. Shit, I'm talking to myself, the first signs of insanity. If I am to get out of this, I need my most vital organ to be functional. I'll pretend to talk to the readers. Trick my brain, that's good! One problem at a time!
This still baffles me. It freaking started as a normal day. I got up at 8, left home by 9 and reached college by 11. Classes went on as usual for 6 hours and in the half an hour recess between classes, I was ignored by people. All in all, a perfect day.
The thing started after 5:30pm, if I recall correctly. Just after classes ended, I had this tingling sensation at the back of my neck. Initially, I reasoned that my spine had gone asleep just like legs do. An astute biological observation. I did not think about it again for sometime. I exited my college and got in the bus, from the bus stand right across from my college gate, to go home. Now, I need to tell you guys how I get home after I get on the bus, for you to get a better understanding of my situation. The bus drops me at a stop called Karunamoyee, which is the last stop for the bus. From Karunamoyee, I take an auto-rickshaw to another place called Baisakhi. From Baisakhi, it's a long walk of about 30 minutes before I reach home. The total journey is about 2 hours or extra, depending upon how fast I'm in the mood to walk. That means, by the time I reach the bus stop, it's almost night and the sky is dark.
Today was nothing different, except for the fact that my spine didn't seem to want to wake up. I continued my journey back home, excited by the prospect of sleeping in an air-conditioned room. I got off at Baisakhi and immediately I felt that something was wrong. Just wrong. Ugh! It made me want to barf. My neck tingling had reached resonant frequency. It definitely wasn't sleeping. I was sick and wanted to reach home. I didn't even look up to see my surroundings...
The road from Baisakhi to my home is divided into two parts, separated by a bridge. The road between Baisakhi and the bridge is straight and flat. There are buildings on either side with a partition in the middle of the road. I was feeling ill today and started charging down that road. My first mistake was not looking up and just focusing at the road in front of me. I wouldn't have entered the road if I had basic survival instinct.
The road didn't seem to end. I never reached the bridge. Finally my lizard brain decided to kick in and I started wondering why I hadn't reached the bridge. However, when I raised my eyes, I was both shocked and horrified. Where was I? I still don't have an answer to that question. The familiar surroundings with the trees and buildings had vanished and I found myself in a vast wasteland. I couldn't see anything about me in the pitch black night .I am not even sure if I'm in Kolkata anymore.
I was stuck to my position for what seemed like an eternity. These things only happened in movies. I can't really be here. This is impossible. It was obvious I was dreaming. That was the only logical explanation. I would slap myself hard enough and I would wake up right in my comfortable bed. After slapping myself five to six time, rather unsuccessfully, I was at a loss for ideas. This was real. I was a 130kg unhealthy city boy in a wilderness with no training whatsoever. I am destined to die one way or another. Of course, I had thought using my phone but a phone without bars is just a flashlight.
Suddenly, that tingling sensation, which for some reason had gone away, came back with a vengeance. This time I knew what it meant. Something or someone was watching me. I decided to use the rods of my eyes to get a lay of the land. I used my camera to zoom into the darkness to see if I could even spot the shadows of any uneven-ness in this flat land. I could vaguely figure out a mountain range in front of me. I became alert when I zoomed the camera behind me. There was a shadow of a humanoid figure. That creature was bright for some reason. I could see his outlines and I didn't like what I saw. Was it humanoid? It had the body of a human and the lower part like a horse. It was huge, like 7-8 feet tall. That thing immediately vanished into thin air the next time I tried to catch it on camera. That was weird but I didn't have time for strange animals in this possible dreamworld and I had to figure out a way to go back.
I started running towards the mountain range because that was the only place that could provide any sort of a hiding spot for me. You cannot run for long distances when you're over a Quintal. The lactic acid started filling my muscles and I couldn't even walk in a straight line after 15 minutes. However, I soon fell down after another 15 minutes of that torture. I decided to have some rest and started looking around me to see if anything had changed. I wasn't going to make the same mistake again. I decided to check upon my horse-human friends and saw through my camera. The sight concerned me a bit. My horse-human friend had another friend of his with him and...were they closer than before and like before, they both vanished into thin air when my camera glitched. I also became aware of a faint buzzing in my ear which I hadn't picked up before. Strange! I named my new friends Sal and Q and they were my only solace in this wilderness. There didn't seem to be any other type of animal kingdom anywhere. Not even mosquitoes.
Finally, I gathered enough strength and went forward. By now, I was hyper aware of my situation and my reality. This was some Narnia-like shit but instead of a cupboard, it was a road that brought me here. The weather here was sort of cool and breezy as well. Even though I had no reason to believe it, I was sure that I would find some answers on the mountains. Time went on and the frequency of my rests increased with time. After the 17th rest, two things became clear to me. First, the sun wasn't rising even though I swear I was walking for 6 hours and second, with each break, the number of horse-men looking at me increased. This was not good. Unless they were attracted to me like cows were attracted to music, this was not a good sight. With each increase in their number, the buzzing in my ear increased. I started felling uneasy again. My temperature increased and any plans I had of sleeping here vanished like my horse friends after the glitch in my camera.
My conditions were worsening. I had to take a shit and I definitely had to sleep. The buzzing in my ears combined with the tingling in my neck caused a very bad headache. The water in my bottle was finished long ago and there weren't any rivers or streams nearby. However, I had hope. It would be sunny soon and I think I could make out a forest in front of the mountains.
After 17000 hours, there came the first rays of sunlight. I was so happy to see the sun that I cried for the first 10 minutes. I decided to finally see how my horse human friends looked like and at that instant, I knew that I was fucked. They were the most disgusting things I had ever seen in my life. Their faces looked like they were the victims of acid attacks. They had disproportionate eyes with the left eye about 5 times as large as the right one. They were a weird shade of yellow, like someone had mixed vomit with cornflakes. Their hands were like those of a T-Rex. Small and tiny. Contrary to the human side of the body, was the horse side of their body. Each one of them had a different colored horse body and had stout legs. Finally, I looked at their eyes and all hopes of any future vanished. I had to run!
I rushed through the remaining of the open land and now I could distinctly hear the hooves on the ground. No, No, No! I don't want to die. I reached the forest and immediately got lost. I had to get to the mountains. I had to be as quiet as possible and move in the general direction of the mountains, from memory. Every creak, sound or movement made my heart jump out of my mouth. I wanted to live. I am too young to die. I haven't even tasted Turkey or Lamb or Pork till now. I don't want to die before tasting these items.
Finally, after hours of wandering around aimlessly and being rotated several times so as to not have a clue where I was before, I heard the gurgling sound of water. There had to be a river nearby, among all this greenery. I had to drink water. I wanted water. Water sounded tasty then. I would kill those nasty creatures if that meant I got to drink water. After some calculated risks, I went out and found the river. I drank and drank until I was full of water. Then, I looked at my right. Lo and Behold, there was a building right in the middle of nowhere. My loss of direction had brought me to the right place and I was at a lodge-like place near a river in the clearing of a mountain range. I decided to check out the building and all worries just went out of the mind.
I reached the door of that building and just as I was about to open the door, I heard a deafening cry! This cry would've broken all the glasses in the building, if it had any. I looked back and the entire herd of these horse-men were about 15 feet from the door. This was a trap. They had deliberately chased me in a specific way to put me here.
So, finally, I have recounted all my thoughts and I still don't know what the fuck happened here. I went into the building and closed it. It looked like it hadn't been used in some time but I saw fresh food in the pantry and gulped down 15kg worth of food. The astonishing thing was this place has a working electrical system even though I don't see wires anywhere. There's a working fan and a tubelight here. I found a bathroom and a toilet which have flowing water. Hell, I even found a working charger and an open wifi here and again, no router. There is a socket right in the wall and it's as though someone knew that I would come here . It was nice of them to give me basic necessities before they kill me and eat me.
WHat is that? I feel that the Earth is moving. Is that an Earthquake? No. These. are. Footsteps. Something big is coming. I feel that they are waiting for someone before coming for me. I guess it will be dark before they come in. If any of you get this message that I'm typing now, please help me if you can. I think I'm going to sleep now. I can't stay up anymore. I'm so tired. Just a little rest and I will be alright.
